The number of La Flèche that contained this article, No. 15, February 15, 1933, had fourteen pages, instead of eight, which was the most common number. This indicates that Naglowska’s finances had improved. For the first time the print is large, in a single column, with a lot of white space in the borders. The white space, though, suggests that Naglowska’s energy may have been flagging. Just a few months earlier, she had published The Light of Sex. It was already evident in the last two issues of the newspaper that the notoriety she had gained was arousing jealousies and opposition within the occultist community. Naglowska signed this article as “Auguste Apôtre,” one of her favorite pseudonyms.
